OhioVOTES provides a range of voter participation services and resources to nonprofits in order to help incorporate nonpartisan voter participation and education activities into their ongoing work.

Jocelyn has an extensive background in nonprofit management with a BS degree in Political Science from Alabama State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Cleveland State University. She is extremely involved with numerous voting and advocacy organizations and serves as an advisory committee member of the Ohio Secretary of State’s Voting Rights Institute.

Prior to becoming advocacy director, Cathy served as director of the COHHIO 50 member AmeriCorps Houses the Homeless Program.

He previously worked as a housing specialist at Freedom House, a homeless veteran’s shelter in Portage County, and for the Portage County Regional Planning Commission. He completed two years of AmeriCorps service working closely with individuals served by the Portage County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. Kelan recently completed dual Masters degrees in City & Regional Planning and Public Policy and Management from Ohio State University. Kelan also received a dual bachelors degree in Political Science and Economics from Kent State University. He focused his studies on housing and economic development.

This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , Youth Advocacy Program Coordinator, COHHIO - Fostering a passion for volunteering and helping homeless youth, Nick Bates joined the COHHIO team as an intern in 2004 and a VISTA member in 2005. He has exercised his passion working with YEP by participating in housing, homelessness and youth advocacy. In addition, Nick delivers leadership trainings, works to raise awareness among students, churches and the rest of the state and researches social justice issues. He graduated from Capital University with degrees in Political Science and Religion. While at Capital, he coordinated many social justice events including Capital’s Hunger and Homeless Awareness weeks for three years. He is currently enrolled at Trinity Lutheran Seminary.
