Vote Early In Person

Under a new Ohio law, it is possible to vote early in-person at your county board of elections using an absentee ballot. This is possible because Ohio no longer requires that voters provide an excuse to vote absentee. Anyone may vote absentee.

In addition to being able to vote early in-person at your Board of Elections’ office, it is also possible to register and vote absentee in one visit to the Board of Elections between the 35th and 30th day before Election Day. This period is the brief overlap between when absentee ballots are issued and when registration closes for the upcoming election.
